Kids Code Jeunesse is proud to bring computer programming to kids inside and outside of the classroom! We have reached an exciting period of growth and are looking for a motivated and passionate Web Developer to join our team.
The ideal Web Developer will be an enthusiastic and engaged team player. You believe in the importance of empowering children, their educators and parents with the skills of the 21st century, the same skills that you have a passion for. You have a strong sense of web design, are organized, have an attention to detail, and can work independently to meet deadlines.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Front-end development for our two websites, Kids Code Jeunesse and Code Club Canada
- Design front-end web pages
- Convert designs into HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Maintain responsive design
- User experience and bug testing on front-end pages
- Contribute to our web content production by creating engaging pieces of interactive design, such as banners and landing pages.
What you'll need
Qualifications
- 1+ years experience web development
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, GitHub
- Education involving in Web Development or equivalent related work experience required
- Background or strong interest/ability for Web design
- Well organized and meticulous
- Able to function in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to adapt quickly, work independently, multi-task and work under pressure
- Knowledge of responsive/mobile design principles
NICE TO HAVE
- Bilingual Fre/Eng
- Interest in children’s Education and Technology
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Knowledge of UI and UX best practices
- Good grasp of SEO concepts in site structure
- Knowledge of Front-End Frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
- Some knowledge of Back-End developing (PHP or Node).
