As the Web and UI Designer, you will work within the Product Management team, under the direction of the Director, Product Management. You have a creative and business sense paired with strong technical skills. You are a great problem solver and have a passion for technology. You love to learn and explore the latest trends and techniques in design.

You are a self-starter, working collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders across the organization. As a passionate designer, you take ownership of your daily tasks, ensuring well thought out communication, as required, in an agile environment.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Create amazing user interfaces, low and high fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes based on wireframes created by the UX team.
  • You will contribute to and improve UI/UX design standards and guidelines.
  • Take designs through an iterative design process, driven by group critique.
  • Able to take creative direction and work in a fast paced environment and to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Interact with internal clients/stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Experience in designing for multiple technology mediums.
  • Create responsive designs that scale and follow consistent design standards throughout various technology mediums (for example, a desktop design doesn?t break on mobile).
  • Reference front-end frameworks while designing mockups (Bootstrap and Angular material).
  • Experience with task-management software such as JIRA, Redmine, SCM.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in Design, Multimedia, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 years' experience working in an office environment.
  • Ability to communicate and write effectively in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Photoshop or Sketch; Vector Graphics; Wireframing Tools; UX Pin; Responsive Design; Mobile First Design; Bootstrap; CSS.
  • Demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats to support the Product Development team and backfill as required (front end development, UX/UI Design, User Testing, etc.)
