Sports Hall of Fame Street Theater: July 8, 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of the Paris Crew's astonishing victory at the World Rowing Championship in Paris, France. Their win just seven days after Confederation, made the New Brunswick based rowers the first Canadians to win an international sporting event. In celebration of this significant historical event, the NB Sports Hall of Fame (NBSHF) will commemorate the anniversary in part through the delivery of daily theatrical performances.

Live Production dates: July 7 to Aug. 26, 2017; Rehearsal dates: June 12th-30th

Venue: On the lawn and inside the NB Sports Hall of Fame, 503 Queen St., Fredericton

Compensation: $12.00 per hour

 

 

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week Tuesdays to Saturdays. In addition to the daily theatrical performance, successful applicants will perform a variety of tasks relating to the operation of the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Characters: A cast of three performers ? singing is required and ability to play a musical instrument is strongly desired. Performers must be able to speak and perform in both English and French.

NB Sports Hall of Fame

The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame preserves and celebrates NB's sports heritage in effort to honour our best and inspire the rest. We are the only Sports Museum in New Brunswick with a provincial mandate to celebrate the achievements and stories of New Brunswick's most accomplished athletes and sport builders.

Visitors to the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame are treated to a fun family experience where they can GIVE IT THEIR BEST SHOT while testing their skills in the interactive area (which includes a virtual sports system); WALK THROUGH SPORTS HISTORY in the permanent exhibit areas and hallways; or HONOUR A LEGEND in the shrine area.
