The Opportunity
We are looking for an intermediate level Web Developer with a thirst for professional and personal growth that needs to quenched. We're a startup based in Moncton, New Brunswick with a rapidly expanding team. We recently moved into our newly renovated office at Botsford Station that is home to other small businesses/startups as well .
We built Alongside (formerly Qimple) to solve a big problem... hiring. It's increasingly impersonal, competitive, time-consuming and expensive. So, we're building the world's most intuitive end-to-end recruitment solution. Alongside optimizes and distributes job opportunities based on a business' budget, geography, and industry - maximizing the number of applicants they get. On the backend, we're building a robust applicant tracking system that lets businesses manage all their applicants.
We're also working on some big, new projects in 2017, so we're looking for some help. As our newest addition to our dev team, you'll work closely with our other devs, designer, and product manager to create more Alongside awesomeness.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Our core technologies (which we expect you to be highly proficient at) are:
- PHP
- CodeIgniter
- CSS/HTML
- jQuery
- MySQL
- Git
If you have experience with any of the following, bonus points!
- Responsive web design
- LESS/SASS
- Coding interactive visual displays (like an analytics dashboard)
- API development and publishing
- MongoDB
- Machine Learning
- Photoshop
What you'll need
Qualifications
Experience: 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Relevant post-secondary education is preferred but not required if your experience proves your skill
