The Opportunity
Working in AV Group's Woodlands division, and reporting to the Manager of Woodlands, the Scaler will provide support in organizing, monitoring, and controlling cost effective wood procurement and with resource development operations. This individual is a key member of the woodlands team providing support to both the operations and planning department.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
The role of the Scaler will encompass but is not limited to:
· Ensuring quality control as per specifications and ensuring minimum closing stock
· Monitoring and control of stockpiles to reduce losses or degradation on inventories.
· Monitoring and control of weigh scale systems to ensure measurement is compliant and traffic flows are uninterrupted.
· Provide support to the Woodlands team in identifying new technologies and procedures to improve the operation.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Education: College Degree in Forestry
- Currently possess a valid Scalers License, or actively pursuing to obtain
