Required qualifications to be successful in this roleÂ
? Requirements analysis, including:Â
o Account for conflicting requirements of the various stakeholdersÂ
o Analyze, Document, Validate & Manage software or system requirementsÂ
? Direct and supervise junior testing resources in the creation and test casesÂ
? Create framework for capture and documentation of test case results. This includes analysis and interpretation of performance results.Â
? Ability to create effective test schedulesÂ
? Ability to conduct daily test execution reporting and end of testing phase summary report.Â
? Recognize, investigate, act and dispose of defectsÂ
o Involves defect identification, defect classification and impact analysisÂ
o Able to manage, evaluate and prioritize defectsÂ
o Able to track closure of defectsÂ
? Knowledge of the full lifecycle QAÂ
? Perform activities related to periodically checking the status of a projectÂ
o Able to prepare reports that effectively compare the actuals to that which was plannedÂ
o Record and analyze the progress of the projectÂ
o Anticipate issues that block testing and raise to the PM expeditiouslyÂ
? Maintain configuration management of testing artifacts by ensuring:Â
o All test artifacts are identified, version controlled, tracked for changes, related to each other and to development items (test objects) so that traceability may be maintained throughout the testing process.Â
o All identified documents and software objects are referenced unambiguously in test documentationÂ
? Tracking and controlling changes in the software by ensuring that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes to control the project, in order to minimize the number and impact of any related incidentsÂ
? Collaborate with operational support teams to ensure testing requirements are identified and included in the test planÂ
? Provide in-depth technical consultation to ensure the efficient testing of solutions by utilizing established methodologies and best practicesÂ
Must Have Technical SkillsÂ
? Requirements Analysis and verificationÂ
? Performance testing experience using a variety of toolsÂ
? Minimum 2-year post-secondary education in IT or related disciple.Â
? Industry recognized testing certification(s)Â
? Exposure to JIRA or other bug reporting toolÂ
? Ability to learn and use new software applications quickly and easilyÂ
? Attention to detailÂ
? Excellent technical documentation skillsÂ
? Strong analytical skills; ability to root cause data issuesÂ

What you'll do
Responsibilities
Develop a project Test Strategy to set the standards for performance testing processes and activities. Components of a Test Strategy may include:
o Scope and objectives
o Communication and status reporting
o Standards to follow, if applicable
o Testing reporting and metrics
o Risk mitigation
o Defect reporting and tracking
o Change and configuration management
o Training plan
? Conduct test planning activities, which may include:
o Determine the scope and risks of testing
o Defining the overall approach of testing, including definition of test levels and entry/exit criteria
o Integrating and coordinating the testing activities into the SDLC
o Determining what to test, what roles will perform test activities, how the test results will be evaluated
o Scheduling test activities
o Assigning resources for the activities defined
o Selecting metrics for monitoring and controlling test prep and execution, defect resolution and risk issues
? Analysis of systems to identify potential bottlenecks and risks to meeting non-functional requirements
? Estimate the testing Size, Effort, Cost & Schedule
