Full-time Contract Position  

Due to a recent vacancy, the Centre for Women in Business is searching for a high-energy Membership/Sponsorship Coordinator. Located on the campus of Mount Saint Vincent University, we are a small team of dedicated business professionals who, over the last 25 years, have helped more than 15,000 women start and grow their businesses.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Membership/Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for conducting all business activities associated with membership development and sponsorship relations that will contribute to the overall goals, objectives and initiatives of the Centre for Women in Business. This includes the overall intake, retention and administration of our 450+ member program; the maintenance of our membership database and provision of reports. The Coordinator will generate new members through online and direct leads and be responsible for processing all memberships. You will also moderate the Centre’s online membership directory. Together with the Communications Manager, you will assist in developing collateral materials for individual and corporate memberships and a membership social media plan for delivery to our members. You will also oversee the sponsorship responsibilities for events, programs and assist to develop business relationships for potential sponsorship opportunities. This position may be required to assist in special event delivery.

What you'll need

Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you must have the appropriate academic credentials in business or marketing, coupled with several years of experience in sales or fund development. Equivalent work experience will be considered. You have a solid track record working with stakeholder groups. Experience ideally in a small business and/or not-for-profit environment is preferred.

If you possess the above qualifications together with a wide degree of creativity and latitude, we would like to hear from you. The position requires a self-starter that can also worked collaboratively within a team environment. A highly-organized individual, your strong communications skills will make you an ideal candidate. You are computer proficient with common software and willing to learn new technology.
