The Opportunity
IMG is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Summer Student to join our team from May until August. Our ideal candidate holds strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced manufacturing environment and has an eye for details.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Market research
- Analyze standards and building code requirements
- SWOT Analysis
- Create 3D models and drawings of parts and assemblies in Solidworks
- Assist other engineers with designs
- Source and build test equipment
- Assist team with cost estimates for new and existing product modifications
- Build & Test prototypes
- Write procedures
- Analyze data
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Bachelor?s Engineering program(3rd year completed)
- Has strong oral and written communication skills
- Must have experience with CAD software
- Have obtained, over the previous years of study, a cumulative average of at least a ?B-?
- Experience with Solid Works is considered an asset
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Bilingualism is a definite asset
- Has a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoys working in a team environment
- Experience with the Microsoft suite of products
- Is able to work independently
