Highline BETA works closely with our corporate partners in various new venture development models. In this case, we're advising and supporting the development of an internal corporate venture that has huge potential to make impact both in Canada and the global market in the years to come. And they are looking for a Full Stack Web Developer -- Consumer Platform to help make this happen.
As a Full Stack Web Developer you will be working directly with one of our clients, helping them build a new consumer platform. They are a team of experienced entrepreneurs working within the innovation group of a large company. They act like a startup with a bias towards shipping, learning and iterating.

What you'll do
Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Web Developer, you will work with a team of talented people building large-scale web applications in an agile, cross-functional environment.
- You will write, test and document high quality code
- You will own the implementation of features end to end, including understanding needs and making decisions about technical approach
- You will work closely with our product team & other stakeholders to deliver on the product vision
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Expert knowledge of modern frontend JavaScript frameworks (React/Redux etc)
- Expert knowledge of and experience with Node.js, Express and at least one other backend framework
- Knowledge of and experience with RDBMSs (Postgres, MySQL) and noSQL (MongoDB, Reddis) data stores
- Some experience working in a Devops world: CI, Cloud infrastructure etc
- Some experience working with native mobile apps
- Experience working in an agile web environment: test-driven development, code refactoring etc
Requirements
- You’re flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced, iterative development environment
- You’re self-motivated, passionate for technology, and drive for results and continual improvement
- You’re a team player
- You have at least 4 years of experience in software development with a focus on the web and mobile
- You have a degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge and experience
