Through our corporate accelerators, we help enterprises partner with top startups and innovate faster. Through our funds and investment vehicles, we invest in ventures at the pre-seed and seed stages.
We are hiring an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) with specific expertise and interest in the Food and CPG industries. This EIR will lead one of Highline BETA's co-creation initiatives, with a specific focus on mom nutrition. You will have an opportunity to take a leadership role in developing a co-creation with Highline BETA and a corporate partner, ultimately with the goal of spinning out a new, fundable company.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
As the EIR you will be responsible for leading the validation work necessary to identify and launch a new startup in the mom nutrition space. Highline BETA will provide a small team and the necessary resources to complete the validation and early launch work. Specifically, you will:
- Conduct problem and solution validation work in the field with consumers / potential users & customers
- Validate the opportunity and determine the business case for launching a scalable, fundable startup
- Lead a small team (product design, development and management)
- Develop and execute an early go-to-market strategy to further validate the solution and business model potential
- Identify and engage with the right partners to deliver the solution to market
The goal is to build and launch a new startup in the mom nutrition space within 6-12 months, at which point Highline BETA will provide the necessary funding to continue. You will also be responsible for raising additional capital (as needed) to grow the business.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with previous startup experience who is ready to take a leap alongside Highline BETA and build an amazing new company.
You're perfect for this role if you:
- Have startup experience, particularly in the Food, CPG or Wellness industries
- Care deeply about moms and the challenges they face (particularly with young infants)
- Have experience working with moms and/or delivering services/products to moms
- Have experience developing food or food-related products (either in startups or elsewhere)
- Are a passionate leader with drive and determination
- Have experience with Lean Startup, Design Thinking and/or Jobs to be Done and believe in the approach of these methodologies to systematically validate or invalidate one's assumptions while building a business
- Are incredibly creative with a strong capacity for brand building and marketing (including lead generation, growth marketing and traditional marketing/advertising)
- Are experienced with business models and business model validation
- Are capable of going back and forth between a strategic viewpoint (20,000 foot view) and a tactical one (2 foot view), and love the challenge of managing both a vision and the details of execution
- Have an existing network in Food, CPG or Wellness that could help accelerate the validation, launch and scale of a new startup in the space
