McInnes Cooper is seeking a motivated and proactive Document Centre Clerk to join our Hospitality and Document Services team in our Halifax, NS office for a one (1) year term with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate must be reliable and flexible, capable of working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment and be a collaborative team member.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

As a Document Centre Clerk you will be responsible for:

  • Prioritizing and completing all copying and scanning tasks assigned;
  • Document and record daily activities;
  • Troubleshoot issues with photocopiers (in document centre and on floors) and other document production equipment (binding machines, printers) and log support calls as required;
  • Provide backup to all areas of Office Services as needed, including the courier desk, hospitality, reception, and internal and external deliveries
  • Assist in special projects which may require overtime or extended hours, including weekends;
  • Frequent lifting of heavy weights up to 30 to 45 lbs;
  • Standing for long periods of time; and,
  • Additional related duties as required.

What you'll need

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skill set:

  • Grade 12 diploma from a recognized institution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of PDF Conversion programs for PDF editing
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and exceptional planning and organizing skills
