In this role, you will:

  • Work with the sales and product development teams to identify and develop financial modeling associated with new and existing products.
  • Support the product, technology, and account teams with your financial expertise on new payment product opportunities, disbursements/settlements, and the financial aspects of the offers and loyalty programs.
  • Participate with senior management in the Company’s strategic planning, including evaluating the impact of new product/program development, pricing models, positioning, and staffing on the Company’s path to sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Support the Company’s efforts in preparing and executing financing rounds, including valuation modeling, deal structure, investor due diligence materials, and private and institutional prospective investor development.
  • Provide leadership with timely and accurate analysis of financial reporting, budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures regarding financial activities such budgeting, cash flow management, internal audit, and accounting.
  • Prepare Quarterly financial updates and related documentation for business’ stakeholders
  • Work directly with the company’s Accounting firm for the creation of year-end statements, tax and CRA related issues, and any other stakeholder’s financial needs.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce, MBA or CPA designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in progressively more senior finance and/or accounting roles.
  • Experience working in Fintech industry and/or a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proven experience with financial and strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Well-developed problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Venture Capital firms and/or Institutional Investors is an asset.
