The Digital Marketing Specialist (Email Marketing and Website Content Management), under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, will primarily be responsible for developing, executing and monitoring email marketing campaigns as well as managing website content. This individual will be responsible for cooperatively working with the secondary Digital Marketing Specialist who is responsible for Social Media Management, 3rd party digital advertising, and search engine marketing.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

  • Help develop a successful web and digital presence that effectively meets company needs.
  • Cooperatively work on strategies to intertwine various digital marketing techniques into one advertising strategy.
  • Help with building, testing and executing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and manage email lists.
  • Design, write and send marketing emails.
  • Develop email marketing strategies that include the delivery timing, creative layouts, tailored messages, and subject lines.
  • Continuously monitor email marketing programs for accuracy, efficiency and results.
  • Cooperatively monitor, track and analyze digital marketing campaigns; develop recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Work with cross-functional departments to implement, launch and maintain digital marketing campaigns.
  • Plan, execute, create, manage, and report on activity for all Social Media channels. These currently include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of current marketing trends and practices.
  • Produce reports as needed on marketing strategies, statistics and results.
  • Offer assistance and guidance on developing digital marketing strategies.
  • Use customer behaviour, insights and prior campaign results to develop new email and website marketing strategies.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators.
  • Conduct research and analyze digital marketing campaigns. Collect and analyze statistics on successful and unsuccessful strategies.
  • Collaborate with other marketing staff to integrate and complement marketing strategies across multiple sales channels.
  • Conduct market research analysis to identify electronic commerce trends, market opportunities, or competitor performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, information technology, communication or a related discipline.
  • Five years of experience in marketing, preferably with a focus on email marketing and/or digital marketing.
  • Excellent computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications, HTML, XML, and various publishing and analytical software.
  • Previous training or certifications on Salesforce Marketing Cloud considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and practices.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager considered an asset
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop specifically)
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent writing skills, and experience writing advertising scripts.

Work Conditions

  • Overtime may be required.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
