The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate would be flexible in their working schedule, be able to work within a team, have excellent communication skills and be highly organized. Attention to detail, the ability to adhere to strict deadlines and Geo/Image data processing experience are required.
The primary role of the Data technician will be to provide technical services including GIS data organization and management, geo-processing, mapping, and working with Drone imagery. Experience with GIS, image processing software and web based mapping platforms is an asset.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Utilizing geographic information system (GIS) software to generate cohesive mosaics
Managing and organizing large data sets
Communicating efficiently with members of other departments
Quality control checking processed GIS files for abnormalities
Tracking output statistics from project processing
Assisting with the development of a universal data storage system
