We are BacklotCars and we are changing the way auto dealers buy/sell wholesale vehicles. We are a platform that allows car dealers across the central U.S. (and soon to be coast to coast) to buy and sell cars online. We also transport and offer our own financing product. We're looking for a friendly and charismatic arbitration/claims service representative to support our existing dealer base and work with them to resolve any arbitration claims
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Handle incoming issues via email, text, phone calls. Make sure the issue is handled to completion, or the relevant dept has been alerted to assist
Think on your feet and hustle through fire drill situations
Work transparently with a team of peers for a common good
Ability to put yourself in the customer's shoes and treat them the way you would want to be treated
Deliver often times bad news to a dealer, but still maintain a positive relationship
What you'll need
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Arbitration/Claims Representative
Extensive mechanical knowledge
Background in new or used car sales or background in service writing preferred
Experience with bidding jobs using tools such as Identifix, Mitchell, or Chilton
Willingness to hustle, roll up sleeves
Strong executive presence.
Strong communication skills - written and verbal
High level of attention to detail
Self starter with the ability to work well independently
Strong organizational skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Positive attitude to address customer issues
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve end user issues and/or escalate issues appropriately
