The Opportunity

Moosehead Breweries is Canada?s oldest and largest independent brewery owned and operated by the Oland family, established in 1867. We are currently recruiting for a contract ?Brewery Ambassador? to join our team at the Brewery in Saint John, New Brunswick.
The Brewery Ambassador is responsible for facilitating public brewery tours to give our consumers a glance inside the inner workings of our Brewery by providing an excellent educational experience in all things Moosehead beer.
The Ambassador will conduct group tours, provide assistance to guests, answer questions and provide information both in person and over the phone ensuring all guests have an educational and enjoyable experience at the brewery. Training on beer styles, the brewing process and Moosehead history will be provided upon hire.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Facilitate public tours, education, tastings and interactions with brewery guests.
- Describe beers, brewing techniques, and brewery history; answering any inquiries from consumers.
- Serve beer for tastings.
- Work cross functionally with departments including; Brewing, Packaging, Marketing, Sales and Communications.
- Understand and respond to a diverse population.
- Manage retail items/inventory processing for the gift shop.
- Responsible for ensuring tours follow all safety protocol.
- Accurately updating and entering tour information into a database.
- Participate in promotional or industry events as required.
- Must be available to work a flexible work schedule - 40 hours per week.
- Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and some holidays (varied hours based upon availability and volume).

Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate
- Has post-secondary education
- Has a passion for great beer, beer culture and championing our products
- Has excellent customer service and public speaking skills
- Is always willing to learn
- Has an energetic and dynamic personality
- Is known to be very approachable and enjoys engaging with consumers
- An all hands-on deck attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to be attentive to all aspects of the manufacturing environment while working
- Prior public speaking or tour guide experience would be considered an asset
- Previous customer service experience required
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
