We are looking for a Business Analyst, ("BA") who will be responsible for the development and interpretation of business requirements to meet the customer needs for new services or enhancements. The BA will work directly with the CGI Project Architects, CGI development teams and clients in providing business analysis support through all phases of the product life cycle, including development, planning, implementation and on-going support.
For assigned projects, the incumbent will evaluate project strategies to be followed, plan the approach and manage the use of personnel assigned to complete projects within time/cost resource constraints, meeting all quality targets established.
Experience:
? 3 - 5 years progressive experience in analytical positions
? 3 - 5 years experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
Knowledge:
? Knowledge of corporate business systems management and development.
? Extensive knowledge of systems development methodology.
? Knowledge of business/systems testing methods.
? Knowledge on internal controls.
Skills:
? Demonstrated ability to analyze user requirements and develop functional specifications for manual and computerized business products.
? Demonstrated ability to write test scripts, develop and conduct user acceptance testing.
? Demonstrated business case development and writing skills.
? Well developed interpersonal skills, both oral and written skills
? Collaborative workstyle
? Demonstrated ability to employ a collaborative approach to problem solving.
? Demonstrated ability to manage a number of concurrent deliverables.
? Demonstrated organizational skills.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)
? Conduct analyses in order to formulate business requirements and/or use cases for new services or enhancements to existing services, assessing potential impacts.
? Collaborate with the team in on-going decisions regarding alternative solutions for business requirements.
? Collaborate with the team in delivering feasability/preliminary analysis reports, conceptual designs, cost and benefit analyses, and schedule of work plans.
? Create Change Requests, Change Order Proposals and Change Authorization documents.
? Develop functional specifications documentation and obtain written sign-off.
? Prepare detailed specifications for all external Input and Output (including screen layouts, reports and required forms).
? Establish detailed specifications for any systems implications.
? For all assigned projects, deliver, monitor, track and report on all required project documentation.
? Direct and participate in on-going support of problem analysis, specifications and clarification requests.
? Coordinate and/or develop all required internal and external operational procedures (including online HELP screen/panels, etc.).
? Develop test scripts and execute System and Integration Testing.
? Coordinate user acceptance testing and obtain written sign-off.
? Conduct (assist with) change implementation.
? Coordinate and schedule activities to support ad hoc product requirements.
