We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant for our Dieppe location to join our winning team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently while administering and organizing day-to-day accounting functions.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
Complete all accounting and reporting functions related to divisional financial statements
Ensure compliance with established accounting standards
Involvement with the preparation of monthly financial statements
Prepare journal entries
Complete monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Prepare monthly commodity tax returns and year end audit files
Complete daily cash analysis reports and monthly inventory reports
Prepare templates, wire payments and account transfers
Prepare, research and analyze special projects as requested
All other duties as assigned
What you'll need
Qualifications
Qualifications:
If you have a college or university degree in Accounting and a minimum of five (5) years related work experience, then this may be the opportunity for you! We are looking for an individual with strong attention to detail as well as someone with an intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel. Being enrolled in an Accounting designation program would be considered an asset for this position. This position would require both independent work and working in a team environment, thus strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills are required. Previous work in a manufacturing environment and use of an ERP system (Oracle) would both be considered assets. Bilingualism would also be an asset for this position.
