At UFred, we’re constantly expanding our course and program offerings to meet the education needs of working professionals, making those responsible for ensuring our academic policy and accreditation criteria are adhered to invaluable members of the UFred team. We’re looking for a Accreditation Officer who is enthusiastic about joining our Academic Team, and comes with experience in documenting and monitoring quality control. Meticulous and analytical, the Accreditation Officer is passionate about ensuring academic quality, will commit to finding new and innovative ways to improve our current processes, and leverages their experiences to bring forward new ideas.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

The day-to-day of an Accreditation Officer at UFred:

The Accreditation Officer brings with them experience in quality control and excels at guiding internal and external stakeholders towards meeting accreditation standards. Responsible for working with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality results, they also work to ensure the most effective quality processes and procedures are utilized. A UFred Accreditation Officer is driven and self-motivated to push projects forward, and has experience implementing structure in academic environment.

As an Accreditation Officer , you can expect to:

  • Provide quality focus to UFred’s Academic team
  • Manage the review and approval of all analytical documentation including methods, validation protocols and all analytical data
  • Advise on current methods and procedures with an objective to improve quality and compliance
  • Communicate with Accreditation stakeholders
  • Resolve errors and discrepancies in quality and framework
  • Initiate / lead improvements of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

What you'll need

Qualifications

Some of the things we’re looking for in an Accreditation Officer include:

  • Relevant post-secondary education, Master’s level education an asset
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in establishing procedures as well as implementing standards and quality control methods
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a quality control role is required; experience within the education industry an asset
  • The ability to work with and influence teams without direct authority
  • Exceptionally strong attention to detail
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to implement and evaluate content, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and the ability to self-direct daily activities is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

This position requires the ability to ensure the quality of our academic work, and to ensure our accreditation criteria is never compromised; while managing multiple projects. The ideal candidate has a background in education, project management, or instructional design.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time (35 hours a week) one-year contract position with the possibility of extension. This position will operate under regular business hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. This position is available in Fredericton, NB.
