Responsibilities

The day-to-day of a Marketing Specialist at UFred:

The Marketing Specialist, reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager, is responsible for the seamless execution of all marketing logistics, including tradeshow and event planning, expense tracking, and collateral management. The position is responsible for not only planning, but travelling to all coordinated events, ensuring to leave a strong first impression with our prospective students and/or partners.

As a Marketing Specialist, you can expect to:

  • Coordinate activities for tradeshows, conference, and other external events
  • Liaise with exhibition organizers, contractors, and service providers
  • Coordinate and execute the creation and stock of marketing collateral
  • Assist with the coordination of corporate sponsorships and agency relationships
  • Liaise daily with various stakeholders in order to move projects forward
  • Work with the marketing team as the administrative support on a variety of projects including, but not limited to surveying, proofing and scheduling
  • Be meticulous with departmental expense tracking

What you'll need

Qualifications

Some of the things we look for in a Marketing Specialist include:

  • An undergraduate degree or higher education in marketing and/or project coordination
  • At least 1 years’ experience working in administration, marketing, sales. and/or operations
  • The ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and a constantly changing environment
  • Familiarity with tradeshow planning and standards
  • The ability to work with limited direction once being brought up to speed, and strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Pardot, considered an asset
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and fearless in their ability to bring forward and execute new and innovative marketing tactics

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position (35 hours). Work will require extensive domestic and some international travel, with hours falling on the weekend and/or evening. The position is available in Fredericton, NB.
