McInnes Cooper is seeking a motivated and proactive Corporate Information Clerk to join our Legal Services team in our Halifax, NS office for a 14 month term.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

As a Corporation Information Clerk you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation and maintenance of electronic and physical minute books, trust books, and vault inventories and maintenance of the minute book tracking system
  • Data entry for Corporate and Estates and Trust Paralegals into Emergent (the Corporate and Estates database)
  • Opening and closing files for Corporate Services Department (“CSD”)
  • Filing, ordering supplies and other general administrative duties for CSD and Estates and Trusts
  • Account reconciliation, preparation of accounting related forms for submission and payment of accounts/invoices

What you'll need

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skill set:

  • Be an upcoming or recent graduate of a Legal Administration or Paralegal Diploma or related education or transferable administrative experience
  • Excel in a demanding, high-pace environment, be highly detail-oriented, and be flexible to changing priorities
  • Exceptional technology skills, with proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office
  • Working in a team environment, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, will be strong team player and have high personal integrity
  • Corporate/commercial experience will be considered an asset
