Cedar Sinai Park (CSP) is currently hiring for two part or full-time Dining Room Servers.

 

What you'll do

Responsibilities

As a Dining Room Server in our residential community you will have the opportunity to get to know our lovely residents while using your excellent customer service skills to ensure a pleasant dining experience. You will interact with residents to help them with their dining and meal needs. You will get to know their preferences, take their orders and bring their meal choices to them. You will assist them as needed, clear away dishes and clean the table, all while in the presence of fantastic residents! This is an excellent opportunity for someone is considering a career in Gerontology and would like to try out the environment to see if it is a fit.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Must be able to learn and follow composition of special and therapeutic diets. Must be able to read, write and follow basic oral and written instructions in English and do basic mathematical computations. Must obtain and present a Food Handler?s Certificate within 30 days of employment and keep this certification valid. Previous food service or customer service experience preferred. Stands and/or walks most of the shift. Must be able to work at a fast enough pace necessary to complete all tasks within the scheduled time frames. High School diploma or GED preferred.

Cedar Sinai Park's roots are firmly planted within the Portland Jewish Community. In 1920, the need arose for housing for the elderly, and the community responded by furnishing a 16-room Victorian home in the heart of the primarily Jewish neighborhood in Old South Portland. Originally named the Jewish Old People's Home, it served seniors at that location until the 1950s. In 1954, the Board of Trustees purchased and broke ground on seven acres of farmland in southwest Portland, where suburban neighborhoods were beginning to crop up. Today CSP continues to serve our community, residents and patients and has grown to 365 employees. Our motto is Love, Honor, Respect. We're a special team, with big hearts and high standards.
