The Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University invites applications for an eight-month limited-term appointment to teach introductory and upper-level Management Science courses. The position will begin on September 1, 2018.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will teach introductory courses in management science and quantitative methods for business and economics (involving introductory calculus, linear algebra, linear programming, probability, and statistics), and application materials should clearly demonstrate suitable qualifications to do so. A focus on active learning, student engagement, teaching in a multi-cultural setting, and integrating technologies as part of the learning process is an asset.

Qualifications

Candidates are expected to hold PhDs, or have ABD status, in Management Science or a closely related field. Candidates with a combination of MA or MS degrees in Management Science, or closely related field, and professional or teaching experience may be considered. Successful teaching in a university business school environment is also expected. A research stream in Management Science or a related field is an asset. The candidate's availability to teach Quantitative Methods I or Statistics in China during the Winter term 2019 is desirable for one position.
