The Department of English Language and Literature at Saint Mary's University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Creative Writing.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to one or more of the areas of poetry, fiction, drama, creative non-fiction, and spoken word; and to expand and develop our Creative Writing program.

What you'll need

Qualifications

The successful applicant will hold a PhD, or an MA/MFA, and have demonstrated professional standing through a body of published creative work. The department is particularly interested in applicants from under-represented groups, as defined below. The department sees creative writing as a complementary part of the study of literature. The standard teaching load in the Department is 3-2. The appointment will begin on 1 July 2019.
